The swim bladder is open to the pharynx and the arapaima uses the bladder which is rich in blood vessels as a lung. Arapaima feed mainly on fish. This one is now 46 inches and growing! I had it for one year. I bought it at 15 inches. That\\s 31 inches in a year!! The tank it\\s in right now is 720 gallon with a 80 gallon wet/dry filter, mechanical carbon filtration, and titanium system heater. With center overflow. Total gallon is 800 gallon! Dem:(8\\L X 4\\H X 3W\\)Made of best quality 1 inch thick Acrylic, by Sea Clear all around!! It looks like the tank is too small for it right now.
