General information - Goniopora is a beautiful but deceptive LPS

coral, until recently, it was thought that Goniopora were impossible

to keep alive in captivity but thanks to some researches and to new

food products now days it can be kept in captivity.  According to

recent researches lack of Manganese and Iron are probably two of

the major factors that make it so easy to keep alive. The varying

species typically range in color from brown, to bright green,

blue or red.

Scientific Name - Goniopora

Origin - Indo-Pacific      

Nutrition - Phytoplankton and zooplankton are essential for the Goniopora, Requires direct feeding with

frozen foods such as Cyclops, mysis brine shrimp for best health. 

Behavior – Semi aggressive 

Maintenance and care – The Goniopora is very demanding coral.The Goniopora should be placed away

from other corals in order to protect her from aggressive corals that can damage it.
